Can't Open MS Office 2007 or 2010 files? |
If you're using Microsoft Office 2003 or earlier, then you have probably noticed the inability to open files which have been created in versions 2007 or 2010. For example, files with the extension .XLSX or .DOCX cannot be opened in Office 2003. This is only true if you have not already downloaded the Free Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint File Formats. Most customers are aware of this simple download but it has come to our attention that some may not. To put it simply, there is no necessity to upgrade your version of Microsoft Office unless you actually desire to do so. You can download the pack here. |

Comms Cabinet Cleanup - Samples of our work. |
The ‘comms cabinet’ is very much at the centre of every business. Broadband, network and telephone systems are all managed from this location. It is here where the system administrator or IT person will patch someone or something into the business netowrk or telephone system. Most often, the request from management to do so, comes with very little notice.
Even with the best of intentions, maintaining a tidy cabling system is often secondary to the urgency of resolving business critical network issues or downtime in general. This leads to a chaotic cabling system which invariably creates more difficult issues down the road.

The picture above is an example of a recent client site where we have recabled their comms cabinet to a more manageable arrangement. You can see another example over on the blog. |
